
MacOS X 10.5 Leopard

If you don't have a eduroam network secret, you can get it here: https://login.sys.kth.se/peap.html
The following instructions apply to Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
- Click on the wireless icon in the top right corner of the screen. Choose "Open Network Preferences..." in the menu. The Network window opens.
- Select "AirPort" in the left pane.
- Click the "Advanced" button. The Advanced dialog opens.
- Switch to the "802.1X" tab.
- Click the plus ("+") button to add a profile. Choose "Add User Profile".
- Enter "eduroam" as the name of the profile.
- Enter the settings as follows:
- User Name: your username with domain, e.g. nisse@kth.se
- Password: the network secret you retreived from here (preferably, copy and paste it from the web page)
- Wireless Network: choose "eduroam"
- Authentication: make sure that only the "PEAP" box is checked
- Click OK. The dialog closes.
- Click Apply.
- Open the wireless menu again by clicking on the wireless icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Choose the "eduroam" network from the menu.
- In the dialog that appears, choose "eduroam" in the 802.1X box. Click OK.
- Add server Server radius-wpa-1.lan.kth.se
- A "Verify Certificate" dialog appears.
- Click "Show Certificate".
- Choose "AddTrust External CA Root" in the list.
If the certificate is not in the list, you can download it here
- Click the arrow next to the "Trust" label to show the trust settings.
- Choose "Always Trust" in the "Extensible Authentication (EAP)" box.
- Click continue. Enter your local password when asked.
- The eduroam network should now be fully configured, and automatically connected to when within range.
On Snow Leopard:
13. Click "Configure Trust.."
14. In the window that appears:
- Click Servers.
- Add "radius-wpa-1.lan.kth.se".
- Click Certificates.
- Choose "AddTrust External CA Root" in the list.
If you are upgrading from tiger, you might have to delete the old entry for "eduroam" in the "network" configuration.
